And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins

When you are a child of God, you trust him as your savior. First of all as such you can identify what your facing is a sin, that it is destructive, and it will do you no good. We don’t have to choose sin, we all have the holy spirit within us allowing us the ability to give gain victory over anything and yeidling from something is a choice you make. "My friends this, or my family that," God has given us his written word, and we all need to interpret his word in order to help use face the temptations of everyday life, and being a child of God, you know how to handle them. God wants the best for us.  Being victorious and overcoming sin mean does not mean we won’t sin again, but we cant just give up because we do. Paul never claimed perfection and the apostles never did. But we turn to God and say, "Help me Jesus, Help me understand this more,” ask him to forgive you. **It's important to ask for forgiveness from the Lord before you ask him for something.** How many of you know one area of weakness in your life? We all do. Anybody who says they dont aren't telling the truth. You know if it's gossip, lust, over eating, over spending, or lack of faithfulness. But God also knows it, he doesn't need to be reminded; it can be teenager, or parents, or people who steal try to justify their actions but it's not acceptable to God. You do not have to sin. God will help you through anything you face. If we confess our sins, and agree with God about the nature of our sins, he will forgive you.

Jesus Christ is the savior that shed his blood and was spat on, beaten and executed for you. Some sins leave scars that you can’t erase as some of us know. The spiritual and mental scars of sin can last you a lifetime, and only the blood of Jesus can atone for them, but the physical scars will remain. Whatever your weakness is, bring it to God.  Why have you reasoned that you can excuse yourself? Or told God that you're different, that you grew up with bad parents or you did this or that or your situation was "different". He is willing to give you the strength again, but you need to confess to him and be honest with him. We are not supposed to be perfect, and there are some sins we confess over and over again. We all have the holy spirit within us to say no, and the more you say no the stronger you will become.
